Gyptian Popular In North America But Yet To Takeover The Rest Of The World

According to Google search data, reggae artists Gyptian is the fastest growing Reggae/Dancehall artists on the web.

Gypo is currently the most popular reggae personality in North America’s Canada and the United States, but yet to take over the reigns worldwide from Sean Paul who is still leading by a mile.

Gyptian hit song “Hold Yuh” seems to be paying off as the artist is gaining grounds on his fellow reggae artist Sean Paul and Shaggy who are first and second most popular reggae artist worldwide respectively.

His hit single Hold Yuh is currently topping five territories including US, UK, France, Canada and Belgium based on iTunes Reggae Songs chart up to Saturday. His single is also charting at number four on Billboard’s Heat seeker’s singles chart.

Specifically, during the last 30 days, every 100 global searches for Gyptian saw a corresponding 92 searches for Kartel and 80 searches for Matisyahu. Damian Marley is also another reggae artists who is rising in popularity since the release of his collaborative album “Distant Relative” with rapper Nas.
