Rap mogul Jay-Z revealed in a recent interview that he wanted dancehall “hero” Vybz Kartel for his Blue Print 3 LP.
Hova said he wanted Vybz Kartel on his last album but somehow couldn’t make it work.
During the interview on the Cipha Sounds and Pete Rosenberg podcast, Jay-Z revealed that he had Kartel in the studio during the recording of his platinum selling album Blueprint 3 but failed to get a song that worked.
Jay said they tried three different songs and spent the entire day trying to work out which track would have sounded best.
According to Jay-Z, Vybz Kartel is the Jamaican Eminem.
