Kodak Black’s attorney is furious with Miami police officers for allegedly leaking a photo of the rapper in jail.
Kodak Black black is currently in a Miami detention center awaiting a court hearing where he will know if he will be granted bail. The Florida rapper was arrested on Saturday in Miami by federal agents and Miami PD, who charged him with federal and state weapons charges. A photo of Kodak in handcuff sitting in jail has since been circulated on social media, and his attorney Bradford Cohen is furious about it.
The photo at the heart of contention is not a mugshot, but a full body photo that appears to be taken with a cellphone. Cohen is now saying that police officers took the photo and circulated it to the media. “I think the actions of the [police] in taking a photo of him in the police station in handcuffs and selling it or giving it to WSVN is a disgusting display of unprofessionalism,” Cohen told the Sun Sentinel.

“Its amazing that @MiamiDadePD thinks this is appropriate to send a picture of an individual in custody in the police station to a reporter? Disgusting behavior #KodakBlack, Cohen wrote on Twitter.
“Miami always following the rules taking unauthorized pictures of individuals in custody to send to the press for a little pocket change,” Cohen added in a tweet in response to reporter Brian Entin who tweeted out the photo on Saturday.
