Jamie Foxx has finally revealed whether or not Diddy tried to kill him.

The rumors started circulating in October as the actor gets ready to premiere his Netflix special, What Had Happened Was. As you can recall, Jamie Foxx was hospitalized in 2013 following a mysterious illness. The health scare happened while he was filming the movie Back In Action in Atlanta with Cameron Diaz. Foxx ended up spending almost a month in the hospital, during which there were many rumors about his health, with some reports alleging he was in a coma.

Thankfully, Jamie Foxx pulled through and had been laying low while recovering, at least until this year when he started putting together his Netflix special and getting back to his day job of being an actor. After doing a few stand-up comedy shows in Atlanta before premiering his Netflix special, rumors emerged claiming that Foxx is blaming Diddy for his near-death experience.

“Atlanta saved my life, but the Internet tried to kill me,” Foxx said amid allegations that Diddy tried to poison him. “The internet was trying to kill me though. The internet said that Puffy tried to kill me. That’s what the internet was saying. I know what you thinking, did he.”

Jamie Foxx joked about attending the famous Diddy parties, saying he left the parties early. “Hell nah, I left them parties early,” he said as the audience broke out into laughter. “I was out by nine, something don’t look right, it’s slippery in here.”

Diddy’s legal team addressed the rumors that he tried to kill Jamie Foxx, calling them “outlandish, ridiculous and baseless.” The rap mogul was recently denied bond for the fourth time, with the judging ruling that the safety of the community could not be guaranteed if he was released on house arrest pending his trial in May 2025. Diddy is facing trial for racketeering, sex trafficking, and kidnapping, among other federal charges. He faces decades in prison if found guilty.

In the meantime, you can catch Jamie Foxx’s new special, What Had Happened Was, on Netflix now. “I saw the tunnel. I didn’t see the light,” Foxx joked. “I thought I saw the devil. Or was it Puffy?”
