Drake Issued Powerful Message On Juice WRLD’s Untimely Death

The music fraternity is still in shock about losing Juice Wrld.

The “Lucid Dreams” rapper was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in the early hours of Sunday morning, where he was pronounced dead at just 21-years-old. Authorities claimed that the late hip hop artist had gone into cardiac arrest from a seizure while at a private hangar at Midway Airport in Chicago, shortly after his private plane landed. According to reports, he had popped several unidentified pills before touching down, and almost 70 pounds of marijuana were seized from the jet by law enforcement. An autopsy conducted today is likely to shed more light on whether narcotics played a role in Juice WRLD’s demise.

Despite that, the young musician was at the beginning of what promised to be a successful career. Just last year, he had signed a $3 million recording contract with Interscope Records, and nine months ago, he dropped his second studio album, “Death Race for Love,” which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200.

One of the most successful artists of our time has now lamented what a tragedy the loss of Juice Wrld, whose real name is Jarad Higgins, truly is. “I would like to see all the younger talent live longer,” wrote Drake on his Instagram, alongside a picture of the late 21-year-old. “And I hate waking up hearing another story filled with blessings was cut short.”

Drake joined a chorus of artists who paid tribute to Juice WRLD, all expressing their shock at losing someone so young and talented.

Chance the Rapper expressed everybody’s pain by describing the regret of not having more time with the people we lose. “This unbelievable,” Meek Mill captioned a picture of the two of them. Alicia Keys shared a cover of Juice’s “Lucid Dreams”, along with praying and crying emojis.

Lil Nas X echoed Drake’s thoughts by saying, “rip juice. so sad how often this is happening lately to young talented rising artists.”

Rest easy, Juice.
