Nipsey Hussle may be gone, but you can still have a piece of his legacy in NYC this Black Friday.
The Victory Lap rapper was fatally gunned down in South Los Angeles in March this year in what appeared to be a targeted hit. The incident — in which two others were wounded — occurred in the parking lot of Nipsey’s store, Marathon Clothing. In addition to his music career, the late artist founded the Marathon Agency with his business partners, Karen Civil and Jorge Peniche. One of their ventures was the Marathon Clothing store, which opened in 2013 in partnership with Steve Carless and Nipsey Hussle‘s brother, Samiel Asghedom.
Although situated in a mall at the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard, fans of Nipsey who are based in New York will also get a chance to spend their hard-earned cash on the Grammy nominee’s wares this weekend.
In honour of Black Friday, which is regarded as the biggest shopping day of the year, Marathon Clothing will launch a three-day pop-up store. Beginning tomorrow, the shop will run until Sunday at Live Nation’s Shop Nation location found at 430 West 15th Street.
Customers can visit between 10 AM and 8 PM to take advantage of the sale on T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, and accessories for men, women, and kids, as well as exclusive Christmas sweaters, bomber jackets, and TMC sweatsuits that will only be available at the pop-up store.
