Khalid releases his new single “Don’t Pretend” on Wednesday.
The track will appear on the singer’s upcoming album, Free Spirit, due this Friday, April 5. “Keepin’ my phone alive / Hopin’ that you call this time / God I heard your name / You know I hear things sometimes,” Khalid sings over a guitar-driven beat. The R&B crooner’s sophomore album will feature a guest appearance from John Mayer. The project will also feature a bonus track titled “Saturday Nights.”
Khalid is getting ready to hist the road for his North American “Khalid Free Spirit World Tour.” The trek starts on June 20 in Phoenix, Arizona before coming to an end on August 17, in Miami. The singer also announced his Free Spirit Radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio where he will be playing songs from the album this weekend.
