Drake getting backlash for hanging out with Chris Brown is how we are starting 2019.
Most of us are now seasoned in the social media age where information flows freely and plentiful, but so does backlash and anger over everything. This time folks are channeling their anger towards Drake just because he hangs out with Chris Brown at his annual New Year’s Eve party. Perhaps we should’ve been celebrating these two great artists making peace after years of beefing over one female who wants nothing to do with either of them.
Both Drake and Chris Brown posted photos on Instagram of them together at the party. “2019 cook up… Aubreezy,” Drizzy wrote. Breezy also posted the same photo and later deleted it amidst the backlash.
“If ?@Drake does this he will be beating the hell out of every woman a la Chris Brown!” one fan tweeted. “I respected Drake for NOT supporting a #DomesticAbuser So how come he would change his tune? When did Drizzy stop respecting women? Pls D-DON’T align w/ that jerk!”
“Man, I’m so mad at Drake. He was doing well minding his business remaining unproblematic but CHRIS BROWN? It’s a fat no. F*** that guy,” another fan tweeted.
In WTF news of the day, #Drake is likely to collaborate with #ChrisBrown! Helloooooo Drizzy, remember the 'love of your life' #Rihanna?
