French Montana says JAY-Z is the king of New York and not Tekashi69.
6ix9ine has been proclaiming himself to be the king of New York rap, but now another New Yorker, French Montana, is saying not so fast, JAY-Z is still alive. The former Bad Boy rapper may earn himself some cool points for this strong statement. I should also note that he doesn’t have any beef with 69, so he is making this statement purely out of his genuine feelings about the state and history of New York rap.
Speaking with Bootleg Kev, Montana says Tekashi 6ix9ine can’t be the king of New York if JAY-Z is still breathing. He also noted that 69 reminds him of Max B. “First of all, you can’t say you the King Of New York when Jay-Z’s still alive,” the “Unforgettable” rapper said. “I feel like where he at, he reminds me of me and Max B during out Coke Wave days.”
French Montana also revealed that Fat Joe gave him the same advice that he gave to 6ix9ine earlier this year. French has managed to steer clear of trouble, but we can’t say the same for 69 who built his career on rap beefs.
Where does this leave Nas in the Kingship of New York?
