Did Alkaline fall off.
Some dancehall fans have been sounding off on social media suggesting that Alkaline has fallen off since his reign last year and earlier this year. The Vendetta boss has been consistently dominating dancehall airwaves both locally and internationally for the past few years. Lately, we’ve seen the rise of a new wave of artists from Montego Bay, as well as, the rise of other acts like Jahmiel and Shenseea.
In Alkaline’s defense, he is still very much active on the airwaves with some new music like “Yardie Fiesta,” “Fine Whine,” and “Juggernaut” which he released over the summer. Off of these songs have recorded over 5 million views on YouTube each over the past three months.
“Weh the Vendetta boss deh him fell off or something [shake my head] better him go black him eyeball again or bleach, him music naan shot,” one fan wrote while another added, “Somebody needs to tap alkaline on HIS shoulder now and tell him seh him fall off.”
Our Vendetta sources told us that Alkaline is currently working on a new project and has been busy touring overseas. Additionally, Alka’s formula was never to release a ton of new music at once as some other artists do unless he is dropping an album. We often see one to two songs every two to three months from him.
