Gorillaz drop their new album Humanz making it their first major project in almost a decade. The album is currently available for streaming and download on iTunes/Apple Music.
The British animated rock band released their previous project The Fall back in 2011 and was thought to have split since then. But over the past few weeks they have seen a resurgence in popularity as fans anticipated their new album Humanz. The 26 tracks project is lead by the singles “Saturnz Barz” featuring Popcaan, “Andromeda” featuring D.R.A.M., “Let Me Out” featuring Pusha T and Mavis Staples, and “Ascension” featuring Vince Staples.” They also released a 360 degrees interactive video for “Saturnz Barz” which broke the YouTube record for the most views in 24 hours for an interactive video.
Among the other artists on the guest list includes Danny Brown, De La Soul, Vince Staples, Anthony Hamilton, and more. Gorillaz is a famous British band known mostly as the four animated characters 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs. The band was founded by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett in 1998.
