Ciara is kicking off the new year by leaving her old legal battle with Future behind her by dropping her defamation lawsuit against the rapper.
Last year the R&B singer filed a $15 million defamation lawsuit against her baby daddy. Future in tern filed a counter suit but eventually dropped the case and urged her to do the same. She never budge back then but something has now changed maybe its her pregnancy or a New Years resolution. TMZ reported that Ciara filed legal docs dismissing the case “with prejudice” which means she can’t reopen the case in the future.
Sources also confirmed that there were no settlement deal and Future didn’t pay her anything to have the case dismissed. Perhaps the two have found common ground to co-parent their 2-year-old son Baby Future. Last year the Atlanta rapper also won joint custody in court after Ciara asked a judge to grant her full physical custody. That victory paved the way for Future to get more time with his son.
Ciara has already moved on from her relationship with Future and is now married to Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. The couple also has a baby on the way which will be the first child for Wilson and second for the singer.
