The dancehall legend is enjoying some success with his first album in a decade. The oft-delayed project was released on September 16 with rave reviews among dancehall fans locally and overseas. The 22-track project sold 244 copies in its first week of released.
In an era where music consumption has turned to streaming and downloading, album sales, particularly reggae and dancehall, have seen a steep decline. This doesn’t mean that the quality of the music has declined, it just means that reggae and dancehall music stakeholders need to catch up with how fans are consuming music currently.
“Unstoppable” saw production from the likes of Seanizzle, Don Corleone, Tony Kelly, Major Lazer, and others. Among the guest features are Bounty Killer, Sizzla, Agent Sasco, Tarrus Riley, Christopher Martin, Akon among others.
The album is currently available for stream on Apple Music.
