Kanye West Opens Up About Album Cruel Winter, Desiigner & ‘Champions’

Kanye West debut his first single off his upcoming album upcoming album Cruel Winter. But that was not all he did on Friday.

The G.O.O.D. Music rapper also stopped by Big Boy’s radio show on Real 92.3 where he opened up about the album and the single “Champions” as well as Drake.

“Sometimes you have snippets, ideas, beats,” Kanye said. “You got like a solid seven, eight songs that we know is gonna make the album and the others ones [are like] a beat from Mike WiLL [Made-It] or Travis [Scott] just brought three songs through … We sit there and we work together on our stuff. I look at it as we on the same team.”

Kanye West also revealed that his G.O.O.D. Music team will be offering up a remix for the single. The original lineup on the track were Travis Scott, Quavo, Big Sean, Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz and Desiigner. The “Panda” rapper is also the latest artist that Ye signed to his label.

“We also gonna do a a 12 to 15-minute version with every G.O.O.D. Music artist on it,” he said.

Kanye also spoke about meeting Desiigner for the first time. He also made a major cameo in the New York rapper’s music video for his smash hit single “Panda.”

“An amazing A&R came to play me the record and the energy was incredible,” he added. “I met him at the airport and the way he was dancing to the music, it was pure energy, artistry, melody and chemistry.”
