Sizzla Kalonji & Prado Drop Mothers Day Tribute Single

Sizzla Kalonji teams up with Prado on a Mother’s Day anthem called “My Mama.”

The reggae icon has one of the greatest mama anthems of all-time “Thank You Mama.” But now he is looking to recreate that magic with dancehall artist Prado, former known as Desperado.

“Sizzla is my all time favorite artist and fortunately for me I can call him my musical brother,” Prado said. “I think he has one of the best Momma songs ever written and would be able to bring the kind of sound the ‘My Mamma’ single would benefit from.”

Prado also noted that the single highlight that not all mothers should be celebrated since there are bad mothers out there.

“A friend told me that his mother threw him out in a garbage can when he was born and a stranger raised him; it just reminded me that not all mothers are nice and this is how I got the concept for the song,” the dancehall deejay said.

Several celebrities tribute their mother on social media on Sunday, while others showed their appreciation to the mother of their children.
