The Lil Wayne and Birdman legal showdown is heating up again and this time Nicki Minaj and Drake is caught in the middle of the crossfire.
Late last year, the Young Money honcho filed a $51 million lawsuit against his former mentor and friend claiming that Cash Money is holding him hostage by refusing to release his new album Tha Carter V.
Lil Wayne moved that lawsuit to New Orleans where Cash Money is base. In new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Lil Wayne claimed that Cash Money Records and Birdman “grossly mismanaged” the company and that could result in big name artists leaving the label like Nicki Minaj and Drake.
Wayne also claimed that Birdman stiffed several people out of money by not turning over profits and royalties.
The New Orleans rapper want a judge to oust Birdman from Young Money and also force him to release his new album.
