T.I. is sticking up for his Hustle Gang protege Iggy Azalea. The king of the south says Iggy should be judge based on her art and not her nationality.
Since breaking onto the hip hop scene, Iggy Azalea has been heavily scrutinized on whether she should be pop or rap.
But according to T.I., critics are focusing on the wrong things and are stereotyping the “Fancy” rapper.
“I think her influence in music should be attributed to her work ethic, her artistic views, her impeccable ability to – she has a vision for herself and she will not compromise,” the Hustle Gang rapper said. “I think she should be judged based on that rather than her creed, nationality, or what country she’s from. Those are stereotypes.”
T.I. was instrumental in squashing the beef between Snoop Dogg and Iggy Azalea last week.
