Vybz Kartel Ganja Trial Pushed Back

Embattled dancehall star Vybz Kartel had his ganja (Jamaican name for marijuana) case postponed earlier today when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.

Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, was charged with possession of the illegal substance in September of last year when he was picked up by cops at a hotel in Kingston.

The “Cake Soap” deejay was offered bail to the tune of JM$40,0000, but will remain behind bars due to other more serious charges of murder and conspiracy.

Kartel previously plead not guilty to the marijuana charge and the case was sent to trial. Three other persons who were arrested with him and charge were fined for ganja possession.

Kartel returns to court on March 30.
