Rapper Lil Wayne recently Crushes Oreo’s Guinness Record for most Facebook Like in 24 hours.
Weezy prove his popularity on the social media giant by beating Orea by a mile in a race to set a new Guinness book of world record for the most “Like” in 24 hours.
Oreo’s post went out urging fans to help them set the record for most likes in one day.
Then Lil Wayne send out a post to his 20 million strong fans on his Facebook page, the rest as we all so often say, is history.
“everyone, please “Like” this post. I’m trying to break the Guinness World Record for most “Likes” on a post in 24 hours. Let’s get it!!!” (Lil Wayne Facebook)
Oreo ended up with 114,619 likes giving them the record and a ceremony in their honor. But Wayne gave the cookie company a hard thrashing with 588,243 likes when his time was up.
There is no word if Wayne had to register with Guinness before the actual feat took place, and a Kraft rep declined to comment.
Mazy Kazerooni, Lil Wayne’s digital manager, says that the idea was to show Wayne’s social media influence, “I want people to think ‘Bieber, Gaga and Lil Wayne.’ The traffic we do is ridiculous and no one really knows.”
