R&B singer Christina Milian recently opens up about her failed marriage to The-Dream in the new issue of Latina.
According to Milian, their marriage was unfixable.
“No matter what, you can’t change who you are. I know that now. I tried to be someone I wasn’t because I wanted my marriage to work. But ultimately, if it’s not working, it’s not working…I didn’t know anything. But looking back, my gut was telling me something was off. But I thought I could fix it…I learned a lot about myself this year. I learned what I can handle. I learned how much I can take. I learned who I am and what I will accept for myself and my daughter. I feel brand-new. I’ve been to h*ll and back, but I survived. I’m stronger for it and now I’m ready for the next phase of my life.”
In early December, Milian addressed rumors claiming she was paid $4 million to remain mum on her divorce, which she flatly denied.
“I have no idea where that rumor came from, and it’s completely a rumor,” Milian said in an interview with television host Wendy Williams. “Everything about that it is all fictitious. I’m completely allowed to speak about anything that I want to. Except the settlement, we do choose to not [publicize the details].”
Christina Milian is said to be in the studio recording new songs
