Ja Rule is now celebrating his freedom after being officially released from prison.
Ja Rule, born Jeffrey Atkins, briefly taste freedom in February walked out of the Ray Brook Federal Prison in New York earlier today.

According to TMZ, sources say Rule wife picked him up at approximately 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning (May 7).
The former Murder Inc rapper will serve out the rest of his sentence on home confinement until July 28th.
In the summer of 2011, Ja Rule turned himself over to authorities to begin a 2-year prison sentenced after admitting in a federal court to tax fraud.

According to court documents Ja Rule failed to report more than $3 million in income between 2004 and 2006.
He still owes the IRS $1.1 million in taxes and fees.
