Who knew that there was a beef going on between Apple Music and TIDAL? The last we heard was that Apple was in talks to buy the artists owned music streaming company.
Kanye West is not too happy about the ongoing beef with Apple and TIDAL calling it bad for music. “This Tidal Apple beef is f***ing up the music game,” Ye wrote on Twitter adding “I need Tim Cook Jay Z Dez Jimmy Larry me and Drake Scooter on the phone or in a room this week.”
“F*** all this d*ck swinging contest. We all gon be dead in 100 Years. Let the kids have the music,” Kanye continues.
Kanye West also hinted that Apple is in fact in talks with Jay Z to buy TIDAL Music. “Apple give Jay his check for Tidal now and stop trying to act like you Steve,” Kanye West said.
Both Apple Music and TIDAL has been battling to rise in the music streaming service business which is dominated by Spotify. The two companies have seen some big name artists like Kanye West, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Drake releasing their albums exclusively on respective platforms that they call home. Nevertheless, those albums eventually make their way across the isle to the other side.
Will Kanye West comments make an impact on the music streaming business going forward.
Back in February Kanye West tweeted that his album Life of Pablo will never be available on Apple Music after exclusively releasing it on TIDAL. “My album will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale… You can only get it on Tidal,” Ye wrote.
A fan sued the G.O.O.D. Music rapper and the music streaming company after the album was made available on Apple a few weeks later. The fan claimed in his suit that Kanye tricked him to subscribed to TIDAL by announcing that the album will only be available there.
