Mr. Vegas is having the last laugh as he doubles down on his claim that Wayne Marshall’s Order of Distinction award was a political gift for supporting the Jamaica Labour Party-led government.

On Saturday, Wayne Marshall seemingly responded to Mr. Vegas in a TikTok video mocking him over the award. In the video, Marshall posted that he was in church praising God for his award. His demeanor changes as he notices “such man” (referring to Mr. Vegas) enter the church, and he begins to scream.

While many found the video hilarious, Mr Vegas also seemed tickled as he retorted with a video of his own on Sunday morning in an attempt to prove his point.

“I FIXED THE SKIT FOR MY LITTLE BRO [Wayne Marshall],” the “Bruk It Down” artiste wrote on Instagram to caption his own video that incorporates Marshall’s performance at a JLP political rally.

The video features Prime Minister Andrew Holness and the senior executives of the JLP and the governing party, including Minister Daryl Vaz and his wife, Ann-Marie Vaz, Kamina Johnson-Smith, Delroy Chuck, Ed Bartlett, and others, and Marshall, who pops out wearing an olive green shirt to match the political party’s color.

The clip is accompanied by another from Marshall’s award ceremony where he expresses that he feels blessed before his original video of praying in church before “such man” walks in comes up.’

It seems that Mr. Vegas is saying that Marshall’s award has a direct correlation to his receiving the award.

In the comments, Vegas’ followers agreed with him. “Bredda well connected. Fully green like lime,” said one of the top comments. “Wayne Marshall skip d line , it gwaan all d time . Let’s appreciate what Mr Vegas is saying cause it’s all facts,” another said. “Looooooooooool crazy I agree with everything single thing Vegas says too many valid points,” one said.

Others, however, disputed the insinuation by Vegas. “Quite a few artistes have gotten National Awards under the JLP government: Shabba Ranks, Taurus Riley, Yellowman, Marcia Griffiths……. I don’t think any of them are Labourites. Interestingly Beenie Man is a PNP and the PNP government didn’t see fit to give him a National honour even though the PNP was in government as recently as 7 years ago.”
