LHH: Safaree Gets Trolled At The VMAs With Hilarious Nicki Minaj Video

Safaree was trending on Twitter during the VMAs, and it was not because his package leaked online again.

The internet dug up an old video of Nicki Minaj performing at the VMAs.. and Safaree Samuels is in the background wylin’! The 2019 MTV Video Music Awards aired live from New Jersey Monday night, and the annual event prompted viewers to dig up their favorite moments from past shows. While most of the time that means we get a glimpse of old iconic outfits or performances, tonight Love and Hip Hop star Safaree was caught in a clip that he probably wishes would have been buried for good.

A Nicki Minaj fan account posted a minute-long snippet of the “Queen” rapper during a 2010 VMA performance with will.i.am on the pre-show stage, and at the time she and Safaree were very much still a thing. So much so that Safaree is seen in the back of the performance hilariously pop-locking and acting as one of Nicki’s backup dancers. He’s wearing an all-white outfit and literally did not stop dancing for the entire performance.

Instead of focusing on what the tweet was about, looking at Nicki Minaj’s growth from almost a decade ago until now, fans on Twitter shifted their attention to Safaree’s nonstop dance moves.

“Safaree in the back is sending me over,” one fan wrote. “[Nicki] raggedy a** truly did not deserve Safaree, that man in the back there acting a fool for her,” wrote another. Pretty soon, the Love and Hip Hop: New York star was the top trending topic on Twitter by the end of the night.

It is well documented that Nicki and Safaree don’t exactly get along anymore – both of them are currently planning to marry other people – but it is pretty funny to see how much the reality star supported her come up.
