Drake Announced New Album Inspires Raptors To Beat Rockets

Drake announced his new album while his hometown team the Raptors defeat the Rockets.

Nobody is having a better weekend than Drake right now. The Toronto rapper gave his home team a big moral boost on Friday night to secure the win against the Houston Rockets in a 108-105 game that ended a 17-game winning streak for the visiting team. Drizzy did predict that his team would take the W last night. “By the looks of it, tonight this win streak is over,” he said.

Drake then made a big announcement that caught everyone by surprise. “I’m happy to be home. ,” he said. “I’m working on this new album for the city.” The 6 God’s new album will be the follow-up to his 2017 playlist More Life which was one of the biggest albums last year despite not being an official album. He didn’t even both to submit it for a Grammy consideration else he would likely win a trophy.

His speech was largely skewed towards boosting the home team’s morale and he accomplished that and much more. His words also boosted the morale of the entire arena with the exception of the Rockets players of course, who took home an L. In January, Drake released his Scary Hours EP which serves as a precursor to his new album. The project features two tracks, “Diplomatic Immunity” and “God’s Plan.” The later debut at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has stayed there for the past six weeks.

Drake famously rapped about his Midas touch in his Meek Mill diss track “Back To Back” and since then he has been providing the numbers to backed up his argument. More Life was one of the most streamed album on the planet last year and since the start of the year, “God’s Plan” has been the most streamed song since the start of the year. Drizzy didn’t give us a release date or title for the new album.
