You can’t be too careful these days. Chance the Rapper live stream a police traffic stop in Chicago.
The Chi-Town emcee had queen an eventful weekend but he never expected to be pulled over by cops. Thankfully we live in an age of technology like Instagram Live where young black men especially can live stream whenever they get pulled over by cops. Chance did just that on Sunday afternoon when a Chicago PD officer pulled him over. He noted that he live-streamed the whole thing just in case things got out of hand.
“Just want y’all to be here in case it gets out of hand,” the rapper said in the video. “Should be good though. Should be straight. I have great faith in humanity and the men and women that put on the badge — but, you know, you can’t be too careful.” Chance the Rapper wasn’t the one in the driver’s seat, it was his baby mama Kristin Corley, who at one point asked him why he was streaming the traffic stop live. The couple was driving home from church with their daughter in the vehicle when the traffic stop took place.
Cops say they pulled over Kristin Corley for a moving violation and eventually sent her on her way with just a warning. Later that evening, Chance the Rapper posted a photo of himself with Kanye West and Dave Chappelle whom he had lunch with. Back in June, the “No Problem” rapper issued a public apology to Dr. Dre for disrespecting Aftermath Entertainment during his “Be Encouraged Tour.” “I want to formally apologize to Dr Dre, and all of Aftermath for publicly disrespecting their hard work and contributions to music,” Chance said on Twitter. The Chicago rapper is still an independent rapper and is pretty successful although he is not signed to any label.
