Tyrese has a fresh new round of child custody and legal battle on his hands courtesy of his ex-wife Norma Mitchell Gibson.
Yesterday, Tyrese took to his Instagram account to vent about being accused of child abuse and being slapped with a restraining order from his own daughter. The singer/actor has denied all the accusations while telling his fans on Instagram that his ex-wife Norma is simply a bitter woman since their split. Tyrese has since re-married and that move he said is causing him a lot of problems with his baby mama.
“All I wanna do is co/parent nothing else,” Tyrese wrote. “Stick and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt. I’ve only prayed that your heart heals and we live our lives separately and peacefully on behalf of our daughter. There’s someone out here for everybody – Norma I know you can see this, I’m sorry I got re-married, I’m sorry we didn’t work out I’m sorry you haven’t been able to find another man since we separated. Sometimes you get married and have kids and things just don’t work out, but I have NEVER wished harm on you. I was hoping by now you got over what we used to be. Being bitter, resentful and just felt out mean will has never been good for our daughter. Tyrese ex-wife Norma Gibson has accused him of abusing their 10-year-old daughter Shayla Gibson and even got out a restraining order, according to PEOPLE. The order specified that the actor should stay at least 100 yards away from both Norma and Shayla. He is also required to stay away from her home. Their first court hearing is schedule for October 2nd when Tyrese will have a chance to defend himself against the allegations. Since the news broke, the R&B singer has been getting a lot of support from his fans on social media, and now he is thanking everyone.
“Humbled by the outpouring of prayers and love and people who push the “way” they may feel about me to the side to just simply have a heart and understand it’s not what you read it’s about the truth and facts…. God you are just simply amazing,” he wrote.
