50 Cent Says I Am Not Broke, Bankruptcy Is For My Protection

50 Cent made headlines on Monday when he filed for bankruptcy just days after loosing a lawsuit to Rick Ross baby mama for $5 million.

50 Cent is finally speaking out on claims that he is broke saying that he filed bankruptcy docs to protect himself.

“I’m taking the precautions that any other good businessperson would take in this situation,” 50, born Curtis Jackson, told E! News. “You know when you’re successful and stuff, you become a target. I don’t wanna be a bulls eye. I don’t want anybody to pick me as the guy that they just come to with astronomical claims and go through all that.”

50 Cent also drew comparison to Walt Disney and Donald Trump who have both filed for bankruptcy.

“It means you’re reorganizing your finances, but it does stop things from moving forward that you don’t want moving forward,” the New York rapper said.

Last Friday, 50 Cent was ordered by a court to pay Lastonia Leviston $5 million in damages for leaking her sex tape to embarrassed her ex-boyfriend and father of her child Rick Ross.
