These days its not cheap to get Usain Bolt to turn up for an international meet. But your talking about the fastest human being in the history of the sport.
Organizers of the upcoming Diamond League Meet in Paris shelled out a whopping US$300,000 (229,000) to confirm the sprinter for the 200m race.
“With Bolt, we know that we will easily fill the Stade de France,” said Laurent Boquillet, head of the meet.
Boquillet says that fee is standard for a sprinter like Usain Bolt, who holds six Olympic gold medals and 9 records.
The Diamond League will be held in Paris on July 6.
