Rihanna has dissect the meaning of her breathtaking video for her smash hit single “Diamonds,” directed by Anthony Mandler.
Mandler has directed several of Rihanna’s best videos to date, including “Man Down,” “Russian Roulette,” “Disturbia,” and “Only Girl In The World.”

Speaking with MTV News, Rihanna said:
“With ‘Diamonds,’ it was just a series of vignettes that we put together to help get the emotion across throughout the song ’cause the song changes and it builds, and there’s no real way that you could do that. You just want people to feel that and I wanted little cutaways of interactions that would give you the right emotion.”
Rihanna kicks off her 777 tour tomorrow and is looking to conquer the charts next week with the release of her new album Unapologetic.
