Busy Signal Denied Bail, Lawyers Fighting Extradition

Dancehall star Busy Signal was denied bail when her appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court earlier today.

Magistrate judge Stephane Jackson Haisley made the ruling to the dissatisfaction of Busy Signal’s attorney K D Knight. Knight, who is a former government minister, requested a reason for the rejection of his bail in writing.

Busy Signal’s legal team is also planning to file a motion to overturn his extradition request.

Signal, whose real name is Glendale Goshia Gordon, was picked up by U.S. Marshalls and members of the Fugitive Apprehension Team on Monday (May 21) after stepping off a flight from London.

The 33-year-old entertainer is facing extradition to the United States to face narcotics charges dated back 10 years.

Busy Signal returns to court on June 6.
