Reggae star Damian Marley and rap veteran Nas maybe cooking up a follow up to their 2010 critically acclaim collaborative album Distant Relative.
“For a while. This will be the last we’re doing in America for a while,” Damian Marley told Longhorn Hip Hop in a recent interview. “That would be nice. Hopefully,” he said about doing a follow up LP.
Marley also spoke on the response they got from Africa, despite not touring the continent since the album release.
“Yes. Well I want to tell you that one of the things that’s left to do with this project is go to Africa and perform. But most of the people we’ve spoken to so far, yes, I embrace it as a great idea. I think it helps to strengthen the bridge between the western hemisphere and Africa.”
Distant Relatives was release on May 18, 2010 and peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200 Album chart.
