Renown photographer David LaChapelle recently filed a lawsuit against Rihanna over some of her images from “S&M” video shoot.
According to a Reuters report, LaChapelle says some the video uses scenes “directly derived” from some of his pictures.
The video, which was released earlier this month, has been the centre for controversy due to the racy representation of sex and bondage. The video have since been banned in some 11 countries and the song have to be edited almost in its entirety for radio play.
The lawsuit states that Rihanna stole eight images, as well as, the “composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting of his work.”
David LaChapelle is a famous photographer who has taken pictures for the likes of Rolling Stone, GQ, Vanity Fair and innumerable celebs.
Rihanna has not release a statement on the suit.
