Dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel claimed that sting will be flop this year due to the Gully and Gaza absence. He may have a point.
Last we Urban Islandz told you that an inside source at the Gaza told us that Vybz Kartel will not be present at Sting 2010.
In an interview with the Jamaica Star Kartel said Gully and Gaza control dancehall and their absence will result in a flop Sting.
“The Gaza and the Gully control dancehall music, and in our absence I can guarantee this Sting will be the floppiest Sting ever.”
Vybz Kartel also respond to a comment made by Sting promoter Isiah Laing that both himself and former nemesis Mavado cannot pull a thousand people without a clash.
“Laing says that Vybz Kartel and Mavado, who are the two biggest names in dancehall music right now, can’t pull a thousand people. So it would be fair to say then that all the artistes on Sting this year combined will not be pulling more than about 50 people.”
Both top dancehall acts will not be present at this years staging of the popular one night show on Boxing Day December 26th.
Do you think Vybz Kartel have a point?
