Cardi B has clapped back at Jermaine Dupri who trashed new female rappers in a new interview.
The So So Def producer did an interview with People where he made it clear that he is not feeling any of the new female rappers out now because they’re all rapping about the same things. “It’s like strippers rapping,” he said. Cardi B wasn’t feeling his comments, so she took to her Instagram to air him out and anyone else who has the same viewpoint.
The “Press” MC starts by explaining why she raps about her kitty a lot more than other things. “First of all, I rap about my pu**y because she’s my best friend,” the rapper said before adding that she often raps about it because that is what fans want to hear. Cardi B explains that her song “Be Careful” didn’t get a lot of support because she wasn’t rapping about her usual subject, hence the reason why she and a lot of female rappers are dropping similar content.
The Bronx rapper didn’t just call out Jermaine Dupri; she also chided her fans for not supporting female rappers enough, especially female rappers who don’t rap about taboo subjects like sex and stripping.
“There’s a lot of female rappers that be rapping they a*s off and don’t be talking about they pu**y and don’t be talking about getting down and dirty, and y’ all don’t be supporting them,” Cardi continues. “Y’all don’t be supporting them, and they be mad dope. These bloggers don’t support them, they don’t give them the recognition.”
Cardi B also namedrops some dope female rappers who she said are exceptional MCs doing their thing but are not getting the recognition that they deserved. “Rapsody, Chika, Kamaiyah, and Tierra Whack are some of the female rappers she called out.
