Police are one step closer to solving the murder of rapper Young Greatness.
New Orleans rapper Young Greatness, real name Theodore Jones, was shot and killed in October outside a Waffle House restaurant. Police have been actively investigating his murder ever since, and now they’ve finally made a breakthrough. New Orleans police released a low-quality photo of a male whom they say is a person of interest. His is 35-year old Brett Scipio, and police say that they want to talk to him concerning Young Greatness’s murder.
Fox 8 news reported that Scipio is not listed as a wanted man, cops just named him a person of interest who they think can help them solve the murder. Cops are also asking anyone with information about the crime or the whereabouts of Scipio to contact the NOPD Homicide Detective Brett Mathes at 504-658-5300 or to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
Young Greatness was shot dead in a Waffle House parking lot in New Orleans on October 29 this year. His died on the scene, and his killers fled the scene in his car. The rapper was signed to Cash Money Records at the time of his death and was working on new music.
Greatness is best known for his single “Moolah” and has previously collaborated with the likes of Lil Wayne.
