More details are emerging regarding Young Thug’s arrest on Thursday.
Thugger, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, was arrested at Lenox Square Mall moments after 8 p.m. on Thursday (December 22, 2016) in Atlanta while doing some Christmas shopping at a Fendi store. TMZ reported that cops were responding to a stolen vehicle call when one officer spotted the rapper and remembered he had seen an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He had previously missed a court date for illegal window tints on a vehicle that he was driving.
The “Future Swag” emcee was booked on failure to appear in court but was released the same day on a $500 bond. Last year, Young Thug was arrested at the Perimeter Mall in Atlanta for threatening a security officer who asked him to leave the mall following a disturbance caused by the rapper. After leaving the station on Thursday night, Thugger posted a video of himself on Instagram boasting about his freedom while he ate eggs and toast at a local diner.
