Break out reggae/dancehall artists I-Octane will set foot in New York City later this month to a welcome fits for a King.
Octane, who is the biggest break through artist in dancehall last year, is now in high demand worldwide for his unique brand of of the genre.
The “My Life” deejay will begin his tour of the big Apple with a press conference and “meet and greet” at the popular Caribbean eatery, Negril Village restaurant.
Urban Islandz reps will be there among several other media outfits for a session that will be moderated by by Pat McKay of Sirius Satellite Radio. Octane fans will then have the opportunity to get autographs and pictures with the artist.
I-Octane first performance will be in Brooklyn at ‘Wah A Gwaan’ Wednesdays at Club Temptations. Octane is also slated to appear on radio stations such as Sirius Satellite Radio, WBLS 107.5FM, Irie Jam Radio 93.5FM, Linkup Radio 93.5FM, Hot 97 (NYC), 105.1FM, Hot 97 (Boston) and others. Additionally, the singer will host Upscale Crowd’s weekly party at Rebel Nightclub in Manhattan on Saturday, January 29.
I-Octane had a great year in 2010 with several hit singles like My Life, Puff It and Lose A Friend, propelling the artist to reggae superstar status. Octane is one to watch for an even greater year in 2011.
New York fans… be prepared for an Octane invasion.
