Diddy’s current legal troubles have created quite a stir in the hip-hop space, and other celebrities may be on alert.

Suge Knight, who recently shared some insight into the matter, says other celebrities in the space like Dr. Dre and Jay-Z may be privy to Diddy’s alleged criminal activities. The Bad Boy Records head was arrested in September after an indictment for sex trafficking, kidnapping, and racketeering. He is being held without bond at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as he awaits trial.

In his discussion with Chris Cuomo on News Nation, Knight questioned why Diddy’s celebrity friends are not speaking up, suggesting that it may be because they have ties or know something about what he had been doing. “Facts is there,” the former Death Row Records head said. “Where we’re at now, I don’t care if it’s T.I., I don’t care if it’s Rick Ross, I don’t care if it’s [JAY-Z] […] I don’t care if it’s [Snoop Dogg], I don’t care if it’s [The Game], I don’t care if it’s [Dr. Dre]. Nobody stepping up on the fact that you know what’s going on.”

Suge Knight was blunt in his statement that Diddy learned the behavior from his predecessors in hip hop and named label execs like Jimmy Iovine, Russell Simmons, and Clive Davis, as possible mentors whom he picked up his abusive behavior towards women from.

“He learned from Russell Simmons. He learned from Clive Davis,” Knight said. “When those people are telling you that they were heavy into the drugs […] They was heavy into beating women, and doing things at that crazy stage. That’s gonna make him think that he can get away with the same thing.”

Knight, who is himself serving a prison sentence for a manslaughter conviction, says he isn’t rooting for any party involved to go to prison but is merely speaking from his assessment of the situation.

Diddy, real name Sean Combs, could face decades in prison if found guilty of the charges against him. His attorney says that he is “eager” to tell his side of the story on the witness stand, prompting some to believe that he may cooperate with federal investigators and possibly expose other celebrities who may have been involved in the alleged criminal activities levied against him.

Diddy’s former bodyguard, Gene Deal, is also speaking out, echoing similar sentiments to what Suge Knight said.
