Fetty Wap Says He’s Dropping A New Album This October

Fetty Wap may be finally breaking his hiatus with some new music on the way.

Fetty Wap has yet to release a follow up to his 2015 debut self-titled album that went No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts. The project thrust the New Jersey native into stardom with seven songs on the top 100 chart including his most famous single, “Trap Queen,” which peaked at number 3.

So it’s no wonder why fans have been wondering where his sophomore project is, and Fetty says they won’t have to wait much longer. In a comment to a fan on Instagram Thursday, the 28-year-old rapper said an album is coming this October. “No more games,” he said.

The comment was caught in a screen shot by HotNewHipHop. The announcement comes a day after 50 Cent clapped back at a fan who claimed Fetty Wap “fell off.” Fetty, born Willie Maxwell, performed at 50’s Power premiere event, and 50 posted a photo of the two on stage together. Now Fif is known for dragging artists, especially while they’re down, but this time he quickly came to Fetty’s defense saying the rapper was having “contract issues,” according to Complex.

“It makes a artist not want to make music,” 50 added. Fetty Wap did drop a mixtape last year titled Bruce Wayne, but it didn’t make nearly as much noise as his first project. The title for his second album is rumored to be King Zoo, and maybe the recent heat from fans prompted him to let us know that he’s still making music, and that it will be available soon.
