Tekashi 6ix9ine Racketeering Case: Three More Ex Associates Plead Guilty

Tekashi 6ix9ine is not the only Treyway member to plead guilty to racketeering.

At least three more of Tekashi 6ix9ine‘s ex-associates have pleaded guilty, and that is outside of his former manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, who pleaded guilty last week and is now facing a minimum 15 years in prison. Complex reported that a fifth defendant in the racketeering case has pleaded guilty and over the past couple of days, two others pleaded guilty to various charges brought against them by New York prosecutors. Jensel “Ish” Butler, Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones, and Faheem “Crippy” Walter have also copped plea deals with prosecutors.

Mel Murda pleaded guilty to charges for a violent crime in aid of racketeering, and a second for a lesser firearms offense, while Crippy pleaded guilty to similar but slightly different charges. Both Faheem “Crippy” Walter and Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones copped their guilty pleas hours apart from each other.

Their charges are related to a robbery in Midtown Manhattan last year where they robbed a rival gang member. The sentencing hearing for Faheem “Crippy” Walter is set for July 10th this year when he will know how much time he will do behind bars.

Edwards attorney is asking the judge for the minimum sentence of 60 months in prison for his crimes. “Mr. Walter is to be commended for having the courage to honestly and publicly admit his wrongdoing,” the lawyer said in a statement to Complex. “By his acceptance of responsibility, he has put the old behind him as he starts a new life that his children can be proud of. He looks forward to demonstrating to Judge Engelmayer the compelling reasons why the minimum sentence of 60 months is the right sentence.”
