Kodak Black picks up another legal win this week.
This month can’t get any better for Kodak Black who is now out of jail and off probation. The Pompano Beach rapper was released from behind bars just over a week ago, and things just got better for him. On Wednesday, a judge officially dismissed his probation for his drug case. The Blast reported that court documents were filed in a Florida court which revealed some recommendations from Department of Corrections.
Correctional officials recommended that his probation be terminated, and a judge handed down a ruling approving it. This also means that Kodak’s drug and weed case is now officially closed.
Kodak Black was arrested at his home earlier this year and charged with drug possession, child endangerment, grand theft of a firearm, and probation violation. The firearm and child endangerment charges were later dropped, but he was sent to jail for one year for violating his probation after pleading guilty in April of this year.
The arrest came after someone spotted a weapon and drugs within close proximity of a child while Kodak was on Instagram Live. Cops raided his home a short time later and arrested him all while his live feed was still rolling on Instagram. Despite his legal troubles this year, Kodak Black has started a campaign to turn his life around. He completed his GED behind bars and changed his legal name. The “Tunnel Vision” rapper now says he wants to go to college.
