XXXTentacion may have predicted his death in his “SAD!” music video.
XXXTentacion‘s family held an open casket memorial for the late rapper on Wednesday and then later that day they released the music video for his chart-topping single “SAD!” The single is currently at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the Streaming Chart. The album is also back in the top ten of the 200 chart. The clip showcases X looking at his own dead body lying in a casket, but then the body jumps out of the casket and starts fighting him.
“The world is in need of change,” X said. “Humans must learn to love and compromise rather than destroy.” The music video is sending a message that XXXTentacion was trying to kill off his old self and turn his life around to make a fresh start. At the end of the video, a message was read, “People change, things change, and so did I.”
The Lauderhill rapper, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was shot and killed last week Monday (June 18) just moments after shopping for a motorcycle in Deerfield Beach. Police have since arrested one suspect for his killing and are on the hunt for more.
