Is Drake sitting on a career-ending diss track for Pusha T and Kanye West?
J Prince, who is a known hip hop OG and CEO of Rap-A-Lot Records, did an interview over the weekend where he revealed that he advised Drake to stand down in the heated beef with Pusha T and Kanye West. Prince said he spoke to Drake and the material that he was rapping about in the diss track would’ve caused pain for Kanye and crippled Pusha’s career. This would be interesting since King Push already said that he has more material ready to rap about if Drizzy should respond.
J Prince also did an interview with Sway In The Morning where he revealed that he spoke to Kanye West about the beef and Ye says he didn’t want it either. Get this, Kanye is the producer of the original diss track that started this all “Infrared” featured on Pusha T’s new album Daytona.
“I saw this going to a place that I feel would have ended his career if Drake would’ve put out this song that he had on him,” J Prince said. “It definitely would’ve hurt families and we’re not in it for that. That’s not Drake’s character to tear a man down to that extent.”
Hip Hop fans have been weighing in on the beef on social media and most are calling for Drake to respond to Pusha T. J Prince also made a valid point about Drizzy starting to disrespect people’s families like for example Kim Kardashian and perhaps even Kanye’s mother. That would’ve been totally out of his character, but some folks would argue that this is the nature of rap beef, all things are on the table.
At least Pusha T and Kanye West already went down that road, so now he is saying that Drake should be the bigger man and not go down the same road.
