Erykah Badu has responded to some really heavy backlash she has been getting from her fans over a comment about Hitler.
The R&B legend did a candid interview with Vulture where she opened up about a number of topics ranging from music to celebrities who are accused of sexual misconducts and the politics of things. She really opened up during the interview, but one excerpt from the talk made headlines and is causing her to get some harassment on social media.
During the interview with Vulture, Erykah Badu addresses some recent criticism she received on social media when some folks called her anti-Semitic. “I’m not an anti-Semitic person,” the neo-soul singer said. “I don’t even know what anti-Semitic was before I was called it. I’m a humanist. I see good in everybody. I saw something good in Hitler.”
Twitter had a field day yesterday about that statement and Badu is now urging everyone to reach her full interview and blaming the media for trying to put a spin on what she said. “When the media try’s to spin ya sh.. Aye , There’s this link in my bio. @vulture mag conversation with badu. By David Marchese. Im open for dialogue here,” she wrote on Instagram.
Here are some of the reactions on Twitter about Erykah Bady statement on Hitler.

Maybe those enraged about @fatbellybella Erykah Badu saying she could see “good in Hitler“ have a glimpse into how black people feel when America celebrates, erects monuments, names buildings, and celebrates holidays in honor of those who owned, raped and murdered our ancestors!
