Big Sean and Metro Boomin and currently lock down in the studio working on their upcoming joint album.

The G.O.O.D Music rapper and the St. Louis producer both confirmed that they are working on a joint album titled Double or Nothing. The duo didn’t reveal a release date but Big Sean hinted that it would be here before the end of the year which is only four weeks away. “I ain’t done wit 2017 yet,” he tweeted.

Sources close to the production said that the album features fourteen new singles and will likely be available sometime this month. “This project could be the December surprise,” sources said. “The album is done so whats happening now is what you call finishing touches.. Metro Boomin has been a busy producer this year with joint projects with NAV, Offset, and 21 Savage all released this year. “I was born in ’93,” Boomin explained during an interview with Billboard, “and a lot of projects [from that era] had one producer, maybe two. They sounded more cohesive — better as a whole.”

Big Sean says that he will be tackling a number of topics on this album including racial inequalities and police violence. “I believe music is a way of getting away from things,” the Detroit spitter said, “but it was heavy on my heart, and I felt the need to talk about it.” The first sign that the two would be teaming up for a joint album came from the new single “Pull Up N Wreck” featuring Big Sean, Metro Boomin, and 21 Savage. The two discusses the joint project following that recording session, sources said.

Big Sean currently has 37 Hot 100 hits under his belt and Metro Boomin has 10. The two have a combined 5 billion streams of their music, so you can expect them to put up some big numbers with this new project.
