Rapper Nipsey Hussle shocked his fans on Wednesday when he announced his split from Lauren London.
The actress first hinted on her Twitter page that there is trouble in paradise when she tweeted on Tuesday, “Love. That’s it.” Today, Nipsey followed up with a more direct tweet announcing their split, while referring to their relationship as dope. He also said that the split was mutual and that they still have love and respect for each other.
“[Lauren London] and I had a dope relationship and made a Beautiful child,” the Crenshaw rapper wrote. “we are deciding to separate and raise our Son together as the main priority. This was A mutual choice and We will function with each-other as family w love and respect.”
Nipsey Hussle and Lauren London have been known to keep their relationship private. They welcomed their first child, a baby boy name Kross, last year. They both have kids from previous relationships and London has a son, Cameron Carter, with Lil Wayne. The couple has been dating since around 2013 and was one point rumored to be engaged. They didn’t give any detail about what lead to their split, but a lot of hip hop fans were rooting for them.
Nipsey is currently promoting his upcoming album, Victory Lap, due sometime soon despite not having an official release date.
