Young Thug and Calvin Klein are trying to change the face of rap fashion.
The Atlanta trapper is the face of the new Calvin Klein womenswear line for the Fall 2016 campaign.
Thugger posted a photo of himself rocking a dress over a black pants. “I disobey in #mycalvins,” he wrote in the caption. “Rapper @thuggerthugger1 wears a Calvin Klein Collection women’s look in the Fall 2016 global campaign.”
Young Thug is no stranger to wearing women fashion. Last year he raised eyebrows when he posted photos of himself wearing a dress on his IG page. He also drew criticisms from some quarters of hip hop when he called fellow Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan his “lover.”
In a Calvin Klein promo video, Young Thug says he doesn’t believe in gender. “I feel like there’s no such thing as gender,” he said.
Thug believes a gangster is a gangster whether he wears baggy pants or dress.
The 2016 CK campaign also features Frank Ocean, Bella Hadid, Kate Moss and more. Kendrick Lamar, Fetty Wap and Joey Bada$$ will be featured in the spring 2017 campaign.
