Drake Sold 600,000 Plus Copies Of ‘Views’ In First Night

Drake season. The Toronto emcee sold over 600,000 copies of his new album “Views” in the first night that it was released on Apple Music.

Drake dropped the album on Thursday night and despite some mixed reviews and a few controversy, the album is already poised to be his biggest selling body of work.

Drizzy made the announcement on Friday night while appearing at an event in his city. “I got a text message that we sold like 630,000 something records in one night,” the Young Money rapper said. “That’s the first time I’ve ever done that sh*t.”

Later on that evening Drake held a listening party for the album and brought out a few celebrities including Justin Bieber, who have the album thumbs up on his Instagram.

“Spending the day listening to #views,” Bieber said. “congrats drake you did it again…if you haven’t got it yet go download #views.”

Drake also shout out to his fellow country man at his listening party. “Make some noise for Bieber one time. That’s my guy,” Drizzy said.

Bieber also played with the Drake “Views” meme generator to make his own meme.

  1. Yeah I was one who downloaded from Apple but Views was not what I expected. I really didn’t like allot of the songs. Out of 20 I really like 4 songs. I don’t think Views was his best album. A little disappointed.

  2. oh wow, congrats, i honestly didn’t expect it to do that well the whole weekend much less one night. thats awesome tho
