Nicki Minaj Creates Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Chart History

Nicki Minaj is on her way to be one of the greatest rapper’s of all-time. The Young Money first lady became the first female artist to break four songs into the top 10 of Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Chart.

Nicki Minaj duet with Beyonce “Feeling Myself” gave her the edge as the song moved from 11 to 10.

The Trinidadian rapper also topped the chart with “Truffle Butter” featuring her labelmaes Drake and Lil Wayne. Not surprisingly, Drake and Wayne are also the two male artists that have achieved that record. Drake in 2011 and Weezy in 2008.

Drake has has a record 21 top 10 R&B/Hip-Hop chart hit and Lil Wayne has 18.

Nicki Minaj song “Only” which features Lil Wayne, Drake, and Chris Brown moved down one place form 8-9. She is also featured on Rae Sremmurd’s “Throw Sum Mo” which currently sits at No. 3.

Nicki Minaj new album The PinkPrint has sold 553,000 copies since it’s release in December.

Three other female artists have snatched up three simultaneous top 10 songs on the chart. These are Beyonce, Rihanna, and Ashanti.
